Mary Wynona Cofer was born January 4, 1926 in Chitwood, Oklahoma to Tom and Fay (Robinson) Parks. She passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at her home in Alex, Oklahoma at the age of 90.
Wynona lived in the Alex community all of her life, where she and Johnny, her husband of 64 years farmed and ranched. She was employed at the Dixie Store for many years.
She married Johnny Cofer on January 22, 1944 in Chickasha. She was a longtime member of the Alex United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, where she served in a number of capacities over the years. She was well known for her talents as a seamstress and cook, as well as her energetic personality and positive outlook on life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Cofer; parents, Tom and Fay Parks; brother, G.T. Parks; and sister, Wanda Henderson.
Wynona is survived by her two daughters:
Renee Johnson of Alex, OK; and Belinda Rogers of Moore, OK;
Grandchildren: Shaun Johnson of Alex, OK;
Shelby Johnson and his wife, Karen, of Helendale, CA;
Casey Rogers and his wife, Sarah, of Norman, OK;
Great grandchildren: Shaunna, Benjamin, Morgan, Riley, Halli and Cofer
Great-great grandchildren: Braxton, Addy and Lincoln;
Sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Parks; and
Nephew, Garland Casey.
