William Thomas "Tom" Lovelace, of Tuttle, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022, in Tuttle, Oklahoma at the age of 95. He was born April 15, 1927, in Oakwood, Oklahoma to Gus and Millie Lovelace.
Tom was born in Oakwood, Oklahoma, and grew up there, when he was 16, he moved to California. He then joined the navy when he was 17 to serve his country in World War 2. Tom was a part of the Sea Bees, a unit that constructed buildings under Admiral Nimitz on the island of Guam.
He was married to the love of his life Bennie L. "Bee" (Wooley) Lovelace in El Monte, California November 30, 1951. Tom and Bennie had two children together, Bryan who was born in 1953, and Denise who was born in 1955. They raised their family mostly in Yucaipa, California, and Escondido, California then later moved to the Auburn/Cool, California area. Tom's final move was to Tuttle, Oklahoma in May of 2022 just two weeks before he passed away.
Tom was an avid reader, and a strong Christian man, who loved the Lord and his Bible. He loved history and reading about history if he wasn't reading his Bible then Tom most likely had a history book in his hand. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Millie Lovelace; wife, Bennie L. (Wooley) Lovelace; siblings, Clyde Lovelace, Louise Berry, Roy Lovelace, A.W. Lovelace, and Dennis Lovelace.
Tom is survived by his son, Bryan Lovelace, and wife, Christine of Cool, California; daughter, Denise Berger and husband, Jeff of Wasilla, Alaska; grandchildren, Trevor, Heather, Thomas, Benjamin, Jonathan, and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Gauge, Levi, Cynthia, Ezekiel, Elias, Clint, Dean, James, Lucas, with another on the way; sister, Martha Jo of Oregon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
