Wilford Ray Lyons

Private family graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2020 in Alex Cemetery, Alex, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, OK.

Wilford Ray Lyons, of Alex, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 87.  He was born on December 29, 1932 in Leon, Oklahoma to Charles and Alma (Washington) Lyons.

He married Cary Carmirta Ramsey on May 23, 1950 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.  He lived in the Alex area for over 70 years and had worked for Superior Oil and Nicor Drilling for 13 years.  He retired in 1989.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alma Lyons; his wife, Cary Carmirta Lyons in 2012; and a daughter Dana Doby.

Wilford is survived by his son, Toby Lyons and daughter, Tammy Merchant;

Grandchildren: Lanny Merchant, Brook Nath, Candace Green and Courtney Otey;

Great grandchildren: Carson Green, Aydn Green, Ellie Flynn, Cope Otey and Cord Otey;

And a brother, Don Lyons.
