Wanda Lucille Myers

Graveside service for Wanda Lucille Myers will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Wanda L. Myers was born on July 16, 1935 in Minco, OK to Joe Garrett and Ethel Mae (Rich) Garrett. Wanda passed away on July 27, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 89.

Wanda grew up in the Tuttle area and attended Tuttle schools until 11th grade. She married Jim McBride and they had two children, Wanda Darlene and Jamie Elec McBride. She later met and married Phillip Eugene Difibaugh and they had four children, Teresa, Nita, Darryl, and Darla. She and her children moved to Tuttle, OK. Wanda worked odd jobs as she raised her children and put them through school. Once she retired, she started watching her grandchildren and always made sure they never went hungry at her house.

Wanda treated everyone like family. She loved her family dearly and did everything she could for them.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ethel Garrett; siblings, Willie Francis Garrett, Charles Edward Garrett, Calvin Don Garrett, Gerald Dan Garrett, Jerry Dean, Shirley Mae Hayes; daughter, Wanda Darlene Charlton; grandchildren, Diana Marlene Woods, and James McBride.

Wanda is survived by her son, Jamie McBride, daughter, Teresa Davis, daughter Nita Torres(Gilberto), Darryl Defibaugh, and Darla Defibaugh; grandchildren, Dana, Brandy, Jason, Amy, Nathan, Nyelle, Christopher, Lauren, Levi, Brittany, Xander, Ethan, Cristi, and Jody; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and family.
