Immediate burial was held August 8, 2022 at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Walter Irvin Mead, 90, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2022 in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

Walter was born on February 2, 1932 to Jasper and Lela Mead in Chickasha.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents Jasper and Lela; brothers Bill, Joe and Art; sisters Betty, Sue, Leilabow; ex-wife Flossie and grandson Joshawa Shelton and son Brian Buchanan.

Walter is survived by his children Lily and husband Barry Thompson of Chickasha, David and wife Jan Buchanan of Blanchard, Jerry and wife Elaine Buchanan of Chickasha, Clairessa and husband Donnie Shelton of Blanchard.
