Funeral service for Virginia Ruth Wright will be held at Sevier Funeral Home Chapel in Chickasha, OK on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 1:00p.m. Committal will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Virginia Ruth Wright passed from this life on December 22, 2024 in Norman, OK. She was born on January 1, 1938 in Pernell, OK to James Pete Wright and Lillian (Popejoy) Wright.

Virginia grew up in the Lindsay, OK area and lived the majority of her life in Ninnekah, OK and Chickasha, OK. She married Richard Dale Wright in 1956 in Pauls Valley, OK. They had three children.

She worked in retail sales for over 20 years. She loved to decorate and do crafts. She especially loved taking care of her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Pete Wright and Lillian (Popejoy) Wright; her husband, Richard Dale Wright; four brothers and a sister.

Virginia's loved ones left to remember her include her children: daughter, Brenda Gail Cavin and husband Tom; son, Stephen Dale Wright and wife Mary; son, Richard Michael Wright and wife Penny; her grandchildren: Dylan Cavin and wife Lindsay; Sara Cavin and husband Hank; Melanie Wright; Jesse Wright and wife Heather; Cody Wright; Brandee Wright and husband Salyer; Brandon Wright and wife Brittany; Nicole Wright; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Bernard Wright; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
