Virgil Dane Goucher

Virgil Dane Goucher passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 94.  He was born January 13, 1923 in Cloud Chief, Oklahoma to John Washington and Ruby Mae (Brown) Goucher.

Virgil married Jimmie Louise Brackeen on October 29, 1962.   He lived most of his life in Grady and Caddo County.  He farmed and worked in the oil field.  For eight years he served as city marshall in Verden and Cement.  What he thoroughly enjoyed the most was driving trucks professionally which he owned and operated for many years before retiring when he was 82 years old.

He is preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Virgil Dane Goucher and 2 daughters, Wanda Faye Tallent and Janice L. Bean; and 4 sisters: Vergie, Verdie, Dorotha and Ruby Mae.

Virgil is survived by his wife, Jimmie Goucher;

Children: Roy Washington Goucher and his wife, Rose;

Sisters:  Ginny Carr and Betty June Thatcher

18 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
