Funeral service for Virgie Ray Hensley will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Sevier Funeral Home. Committal following the service will be held at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Virgie Ray Hensley passed from this life on Friday, September 27, 2024 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 91. Virgie was born on April 21, 1933 in Dunlap, Tennessee, to Owen and Ova Austin.

Virgie moved to Verden, OK in the late 1940s with her family. She met and married Billie Joe King, Sr. Together, they had three children, Billie, Jr., Karen, and Ronald. Virgie was very active in her church communities. Billie Sr. passed away in 1974 and in 1980 she married Jim Hensley. They spent 13 wonderful years together before his passing in 1993.

Virgie had a love for shopping. She loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren. Virgie loved to travel with her sister.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Ova Austin; her husband, Billie Joe King, Sr.; her second husband, Jim Hensley; her son, Ronnie King; and her two brothers and two sisters.

Virgie's loved ones left to remember her include her son, Billie Joe King, Jr.; her daughter, Karen Sue Pamplin; her grandchildren, Jarod, Brittany, Keshia, and Kyle; her great-grandchildren, Ethan, Gunner, and Dax, Crew, Cooper, Elzey and one on the way; her best friend, Judy Parnell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
