Veronica Louise Bowen

Veronica Louise Bowen passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 80 years old. She was born on February 12, 1944 in Martinez, CA to Freddie B. Cooley and Rosie Evelyn (Newberry) White.

Graveside service will be held for Veronica on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Verden Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Veronica grew up in Cement, OK and graduated from Cement High School. She worked for Traveler's Insurance for 30 years until she retired. Veronica had one son, Geoff Bowen. After she retired, she attended Rose State University and received her Associate's Degree. While getting her degree she worked for the Salvation Army. She then worked for the Spencer Police Department for several years. After living in Oklahoma City, she moved back to Cement, OK, where she took care of her Mom and lived there the rest of her life. Veronica loved spending time with her grandkids while they were growing up.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Freddie B. Cooley and Rosie & Farris White; her grandson, Patrick Bowen.

Veronica's loved ones left to remember her include her son, Geoff Bowen and wife Angela; her grandchildren, Eric, Danielle, Blake, Brandon & wife Kaitlyn, and Makayla; her great-grandchildren, Sophia, Walker, Chenoa, Alexander; her siblings, Buddy White, Barbara Dobbs, Vanita Hazelrigg, Vickie Douglas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
