On Monday, June 14, 2021, Tracy Lee Cranton of Chickasha, OK passed away at the age of 65.
Tracy was born on July 5, 1955 in Chickasha, OK to Willard and Phyllis Cranton. On May 25, 1974, he married his best friend Beth Grisham. Together they raised two children, son Roy Cranton and daughter Helen (Cranton) Denman.
Tracy was well respected in the community as a man of integrity, honesty, and intelligence. He was known as an exceptionally hard worker who had many different jobs throughout his life which took him all over the world. Among his wide-ranging interests, he worked as a certified electronics technician, an audio professional, a marketing manager, a financial advisor, a commercial truck driver, and most recently the facilities manager for Grady County Fairgrounds. He had recently retired but never stopped working. Instead, he enjoyed using his numerous talents to personally and meticulously renovate the home he and his wife had built together.
The most important thing in Tracy's life was his family. His house was not only constantly full of sawdust and lumber, it was also continuously full of love, joy, and laughter. He cherished sharing his life, plans, and time with his wife Beth. He considered his children to be his greatest and most significant project. He was very proud of them and the people that they grew to be, but he also never stopped working on them and for them. He especially enjoyed being a grandfather and was delighted to have a whole new set of kids to tease.
Tracy was preceded in death by his father, his mother, and his beloved son Roy. He is survived by his wife Beth, daughter and son-in-law Helen and Matt Denman, daughter-in-law Christine Cranton, sisters Robin Buchannon and Vickie Smith, brother Mike Cranton, and grandsons Taylor, Cole, Quinn, and Sebastian.
A memorial service for Tracy is planned for June 22, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Sharon Baptist Church in Chickasha. Should friends desire, a memorial donation to St. Jude or the Chickasha Soup Kitchen may be made in lieu of flowers.
