Timothy Gerald Economu

Timothy Gerald Economu passed peacefully at his residence on February 15th, 2025 at the age of 56.

Timmer was born May 31st ,1968 in North Salem , NC to Francis Dirickson and Arthur Economu. He is preceded in death by both his parents, and beloved daughter Angelina Economu.

He is survived by his son Christian Economu, his daughter Jessica Benson, her husband Chris Benson, and Grandson Jack of Montana, Fiancé Venus Gilbert , Brothers Steve Economu of Sandpoint, Idaho & Michael Gunter of Dallas, TX , among many other loved nieces and nephews .

Timmer was a man of many trades . A skilled guitarist, bassist, owner of Timmer's Pilot Car, and Timmer's Custom Paint & Body. He was a very charitable man , with a heart big enough to share. He was a loving father, grandfather and beloved friend to many. He was a friend to anyone he crossed paths with, he never met a stranger. He was the life of the room on any occasion, always willing to lend a listening ear to anyone in need. He wore his heart on his sleeve and was considered a best friend to many. He had a deep and close relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ .

He cofounded many bands over the years, most recently Ol' Dixie Wrecked. Members include Ted Littlefield, Steve Scyrkels, Brad Elred , and many other past members. He loved 80's metal big hair bands, the good ole' days. He enjoyed the camaraderie and held his band members close to his heart, many of them were life long friends.  He was known well in the music community. These cherished memories will always live in our hearts & forever in our memories.

Services will be held on February 28, 2025 at the first Baptist Church of Anadarko, Oklahoma at 10 AM. Blake Taylor will be officiating.
