Teddy Jo Ann Watson was born on September 29, 1931, to Carl M. Irwin and Audra Tommie Irwin (Bates). Mrs. Watson passed away on November 14, 2022, at her home in Oklahoma City from complications of pancreatic cancer.
Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her husband, James Everett Watson, following forty-eight wonderful years of marriage. They were not just husband and wife but were best friends. Together, they raised three daughters, owned a farm, and operated a quarter-horse ranch that competed regionally and nationally.
Mrs. Watson spent a lifetime as a counselor and educator. She obtained a bachelor's degree with majors in music and English, and she later earned master's degrees in the area of counseling. She taught in Chickasha Public Schools and ultimately became the director of a pilot program for displaced homemakers at Canadian Valley Vo-Tech.
She was most proud of being part of God's family. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, initially at Central Church of Christ in Chickasha and ending at Deer Creek Church of Christ. Her church family and her faith helped sustain her following the loss of her husband, mother, and a daughter.
Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her parents Carl M. Irwin and Audra Tommie Irwin, her husband James Everett Watson, and her daughter, Jamie Ruth Feroli. She is survived by her daughters Carla L.
