Tanner graduated from Tuttle High School in 2005. He attended UCO and the University of Oklahoma where he majored in Western European studies and only needed 9 hours to graduate. He worked for AT&T as a technician.
He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuttle.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Gerald Hill.
Tanner is survived by his mother, Gaylon Hill and her significant other, Marty Crain;
