Stella Mae Smith

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK.

Stella Mae Smith, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021 in Anadarko, Oklahoma at the age of 89.  She was born February 3, 1932 in Verden, Oklahoma to Panfilio and Elizabeth (Chavez) Nieto.

Stella had lived in Grady county most of her life and married Willie Smith on October 3, 1949.  She had been a nurse's aide at Grady Memorial Hospital for 17 years and had also worked at Maremont (Gabriel) and as a manager at Gulf store for Jerry Buckmester.

Stella was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Chickasha.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Smith in 1998, and two sons, Johnny Smith and Jerry Bill Smith.

Stella is survived by two sons:  Jimmy Smith and Larry Smith;

8 grandchildren:  Amy Smith, Mandy Smith, Melissa Meadors, Jamie Munoz, Christopher Smith, Jimmy Smith Jr., Jerry Bill Smith Jr., and Paige Smith;

12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, OK.
