Funeral Services will be held at Sharon Baptist Church on Thursday September 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. then a burial at Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Family Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2022

Stacy Renee Townsend of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 25, 2022 at the age of 62. Stacy was born March 24, 1960 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Robert and Melba Stanley.

She lived her entire life in Chickasha and was a graduate of Chickasha High school. She worked alongside her father for many years in the Meat Market at Dunn's Food Center. She gave birth to her beautiful daughter Robi Rhodes on December 29, 1979.

She married Paul Townsend June 28, 2007. They were blessed with 15 faithful years of marriage. After Paul and Stacy married she enjoyed attending Sharon Baptist Church. She had a deep abiding faith and firm belief that God loves everyone so, she did too. Stacy loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and sisters. She went on "sister outings" as often as she could and enjoyed spending her weekends staying with her daughter and son-in-law. Anyone who knew Stacy knew she had a great love for animals. Over the years she had a particular fondness for stray dogs and ended up bringing them all home.

She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Melba Stanley; her grandparents.

Stacy is survived by her husband Paul Townsend; her daughter Robi Rhodes and husband David; her step-children Blake Townsend and wife Brycie, Brooke Keen and husband Jesse, Brandon Townsend and wife Charlene; her five precious grandchildren; her sisters Monti Adams, Kimmi Gilbert, Tanya Sterett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
