Rusty Young

Theo "Rusty" Maurice Young, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, entered this world on March 8, 1935 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.  He departed this world on September 8, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 83.

Rusty grew up in the Rush Springs area and graduated from Rush Springs High School in 1953, then enlisted in the United States Army after graduating high school.  He served two years and fought in the Korean War Conflict.  After serving in the Army, he went to work for Phillips 66 for several years then went on to work for New Holland as a sales rep until he retired.  He started farming full time after retiring and finally retired from farming in 2006.

Rusty was well known throughout this area.  He loved playing moon every week with his friends.  He never met a stranger that he didn't like.  He was a one of a kind jokester.  He will be missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Je Young and Derothea Young; and late wife, Carolyn Hammon Young; and stepdaughter Lisa Wenzel.

Rusty is survived by his wife, Terry Young of the home;

Daughter, Linda Barker of Margate, FL;

Son, Tom Young and wife, Dana, of Lahoma, OK;

Stepdaughters: Jennifer Robbins and husband, Derek, of Edmond, OK;

Felicia Reynolds and husband, Kiley, of Alma, AR;

Stepson, Cody Riddle and wife, Kelli, of Alma, AR;

Grandchildren: Nick, Erica, Audrey, Avery, Ruby, Kimber and Campbell;

Brothers: Rick Young and wife, Martha, of Friends, OK;

And Joe Young of Roff, OK;

and he is survived by numerous other family and friends.
