Ruby Lee Stewart

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Southern Oaks Church of Christ. Burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Ruby Lee Stewart was born on October 16, 1933, in Cement OK to Ora and Beatrice Fields. She passed from this earthly life on August 29, 2022, in Chickasha OK at the age of 88.

Ruby grew up in the Norge and Chickasha area. She married her husband Buford Stewart on October 7, 1950. They soon felt God's call for them to move to Kentucky, Arkansas, and Mississippi to serve and spread God's word. They stayed in Mississippi for 20 years before moving back to Chickasha. Ruby was a devout preacher's wife for over 50 years. She truly lived the life of a Proverbs 31 woman, she served faithfully and compassionately all who came into her life. She was a caretaker, whether you were immediate family, extended family, or church family Ruby was always there to care for the ones she loved. Ruby was known to have an open door policy, she welcomed any and all into her home. Ruby thrived when she was serving others, she had a true servant's heart. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and sewing. She loved to hand-make gifts for her grandchildren. She made countless blankets, pillows, and even a suit. She had a love for cherry wood and enjoyed refurbishing furniture.

She is preceded in death by her husband Buford Stewart; her parents Ora and Beatrice Fields; sister Lola Fields; brother Raymond Fields; her children Noli Ruth Stewart and Glen Dale Stewart.

She is survived by her son Phillip Stewart and wife Mary of Chickasha; her daughter Anita Settle and husband David of Lyons KS; her sons Tim Stewart and wife Tina of Blanchard, Michael Stewart and wife Jeanne of Tuttle; her 11 beautiful grandchildren; her 23 great-grandchildren with one on the way; her sister Viola Pritchard and husband Gordon of Jackson TN; her sister-in-law's Amalita Hightower of Chickasha and Oquanah "Connie" Hughes of Chickasha; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
