Ronald V. Burnett

Ronald Vernice Burnett, 66, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at home in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was born in Anadarko, Oklahoma on October 17, 1951 to Vernice and Donna Bilyeu Burnett.  He graduated from Hobart High School in 1969 and joined the Army where he served in Germany and Vietnam and received an honorable discharge September 1972.

Upon his return from Vietnam he married Catherine Lyons in OKC on August 18, 1972. They have one daughter Karen Burnett Bridges & son-in-law Phillip Bridges, Chickasha. He was a contracted Postal Service truck driver, he worked Kens Quick Stop and $1 Shop in Chickasha.

He is survived by his wife, daughter & parents. He also is survived by sisters, Glenda Barr Anadarko, and Diann and Jerry Shelton, Fort Hood Texas. Mother-in-law Violet McClanahan, Clinton, sisters-in-law Janice and Randy Bozarth Ninnekah; Cheryl and Jason Ross, Yukon; and Jody and Shelby McKinnon, Weatherford, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brother, Clint Burnett, Chickasha in 2014; and grandparents, Don and Bernice Bilyeu, Chickasha; and Hank and Mattie Burnett Anadarko.

He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.
