Robert "Bob" Louis Hankins, Jr.

Robert "Bob" Louis Hankins, Jr. passed away at his home in Chickasha, OK, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 8, 2024. Bob was born on June 17, 1944, to Robert Lewis and Myrtle (Hudson) Hankins.

Graveside Service for Bob will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, OK at 10:00 a.m. under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Bob was the youngest of five siblings and the only boy. He graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic School in Chickasha. He was a member of the team that won the State Championship in Basketball. He met the love of his life, Susan Friedlan, and they married and raised their two sons together. Bob was a Sports fanatic and he enjoyed being the Umpire at local baseball and softball games for 20 years. He was a retired machinist and truck driver. Most important of all, He was a father, a husband, a grandfather, a son and a beloved friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lewis and Myrtle (Hudson) Hankins; his wife Susan (Friedlan) Hankins; his two sons, Doug and Brian Hankins; two sisters, Barbara Pace and Carol Ann Howell.

Bob is survived by his grandsons, Kyle Anthony Hankins of Chickasha, OK and Robert Eric Hankins of Orlando, FL; granddaughters, Jamie Hankins and Stephanie Hankins; his sisters, Pat Kaye Langley and Shirley Williams; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and family—including his dog, Zepellin.
