Richard Ward

A memorial service will be held graveside at Alex Cemetery, Alex, Oklahoma on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.

Richard Dearl Ward, 49, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at his home in Chickasha.  He was born March 24, 1971 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Burl and Glenda (Keith) Ward.

Richard attended Alex schools all 12 years and graduated in 1989.  He worked for Marimont and attended Vo-Tech and became a machinist.  He lived in Chickasha for the last 30 years.

He loved his family and friends and spending time with them and his dog Sadie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenda and Burl Ward; grandparents, Albert and Vivian Keith and great grandparents, Fred and Thelma Wilkins.

Richard is survived by his sister, Janna Pelley and her husband, Darryl, of Marlow, OK;

Nephews: Kyle Pelley and his wife, Baylee and their son, Archer, of Marlow, OK; and Tyler Pelley of Marlow, OK;

His aunt and uncle Gayla and Johnnie Collier of Alex, OK;

Cousin Keith Collier and his wife Jennifer, and their sons, Jacob and John, of Rush Springs, OK;

and his Best Friends Tracy Goyne and family of Alex, OK; and James Byrd and family of Rush Springs, OK.

He was "Uncle Richard" to many nieces and nephews.
