Rena Diane (Degre) Tanguay passed from this life on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at her home in Tuttle, OK at the age of 61. She was born on August 28, 1965 in Central Falls, RI to her parents, Raymond R. Degre and Ruth Degre.

Memorial service for Rena Tanguay will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Mustang, OK. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Fairview Cemetery. Services and cremation are under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home in Tuttle, OK.

A vigil will be held for Rena Tanguay on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Mustang, OK.

Rena graduated from William M. Davies VoTech. She has four children, Matthew, Megan, Raymond, and Rosie. She has 5 wonderful grandchildren. Rena sang in community choirs and church choir. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion Auxillary.

She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Degre; her brother, Raymond Degre; her sister-in-law, Teresa Degre; and her brother, Roland Degre.

Rena is survived by her husband, Raymond Tanguay of Tuttle, OK; her children, Matthew Geoffroy, Megan (Geoffroy) Shellcross and her husband Mitchell, Raymond Tanguay II, Rose-Marie (Tanguay) Overman and husband Christian Blake Overman; her mother, Ruth (St. Jean) Degre; her brothers, Roy Degre and wife Stacy, Robert Degre and wife Elaine; her sisters, Robin Duhamel and husband Peter, Rhonda Tougas and her husband Thomas, Renae Britland and husband Fred; her grandchildren, Mila Ameral; Liam Overman; Maverick, Maddox, and McKinley Shellcross; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
