R.B. Payne

R.B. (Richard) Payne was born July 25, 1932 in Hastings, Oklahoma to Paul S. Payne Sr. and Bonnie Mary Schooley Payne. R.B. died Saturday, September 26, 2015 at his home in Chickasha, OK at the age of 83. R.B. and Mary Lee Ferrell were married November 28, 1975. R.B. served in the US Army 1953 to 1955. He worked for Southwestern Bell Co. 33 years retiring in 1988. He was a very special man to a lot of people including neighborhood children who grew up knowing his home was a safe place where they could hangout, learn to ride a bike or just lay in the grass and watch the stars. He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home Son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Monica Payne of Ninnekah, OK Grandsons, Caleb and Ethan Sister, Gloria Person of Hastings, OK Sister-in-law, Pat Payne of Utah 3 brothers-in-law: Olen Ferrell and wife, Georgia Larry Ferrell and wife, Betty and Mike Ferrell and wife, Gayle A long list of nieces and nephews, friends and special young man considered an "adopted" son, Clint Blackburn. R.B. is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters: Virginia McKeel and Ruth Staats; 3 brothers: Paul Payne, Jr., Ken Payne and Hearl Payne.
