Peggy was the epitome of faith, strength, love and generosity. If you can think of a positive adjective, then it can be applied to how Peggy lived her life. Her home was always open and her kitchen bar was always ready for talks, laughter, and a game of Skip-Bo.

Peggy was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma on July 20th, 1946 to Albert and Juanita McReynolds. She was a loving sister to Janet McRenynolds and Lee Ona Roberts. Weekly lunches with Janet and summer trips to Colorado to see Lee Ona were staples for the Sisters as they grew older.

After she was widowed at 19, losing her first husband and her firstborn Jimmy, she met Richard Petitt who was the love of her life. They were married on May 6th, 1967. Peggy came into the marriage with her son Mike and Richard came into the marriage with three sons, John, Andy, and Cliff. Together they adopted Carrie after the constant prayers of Mike to have a little sister.

For the past 38 years Peggy was known as Aunt Peggy, Granny, and then Nana to her grandchildren, and extended family. Her grandchildren were her priority and she loved watching them, cooking meals for them, and teaching them all of the skills she had learned over the years, even though she never taught them how to beat her in Skip-Bo or a game of Spades.

Peggy Loved supporting local first responder departments and local school organizations. Peggy was very creative and was known for oil paintings, flower arrangements, pineapple upside down cakes, and seamstress abilities. She loved her Dogs, bunnies and Hummingbirds. She was a very independent woman who had her routine which started at 11 when her soapies would begin.

Peggy moved in with Carrie and Mark in 2023 after her health began to decline. She fought to spend more time with her loved ones and continued to display her strength throughout the fight. She was surrounded by the best nurses and aides that anyone could ask for. Peggy peacefully passed on April 24th 2025 and went home to her Lord and Savior.

She was preceded in death by; her parents Albert and Juanita McReynolds, her sister Lee Ona Roberts, her first husband Michael Treat, her husband Richard Petitt, her sons Jimmy Treat and Mike Petitt, stepsons John and Andy Petitt, and three great grandchildren Davin, Kyran, and Kingstyn Hoffman.

She is survived by; her sister Janet McReynolds, brother in law Al Roberts, brother in law Bill Petitt, numerous nieces and nephews, stepson Cliff Petitt, daughter Carrie and husband Mark Anderson, grandchildren Melisa Petitt, Krystan and husband Sharod Hoffman, Kyle and wife Amy Petitt, Trey Anderson, Holly and husband Ben Dodson, Gracie and husband Ethan Brooks, great grandchildren Aedyn and Karter Hoffman, Mason and Kinsley Petitt, Stella-Rose Brooks, Lennox Dodson, and numerous friends who are family.
