Patricia Maxine Stewart

Patricia Maxine Stewart was born April 24, 1930 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Maxey and Mary (Gottberg) Wood. She went to be with our Lord on Sunday, April 3, 2016 in Amber, Oklahoma at the age of 85.
Patricia was raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma but resided with her parents in many towns in the Oklahoma region. She spent many wonderful summers with her parents and grandparents on Petit Jean Mt., Arkansas. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1947 where she met the love of her life, William Joseph Stewart. They married on January 9, 1949 and from this union 3 children were born, Barbara Ann, Carolyn Sue and William David Stewart. Pat and Bill attended The Church of Christ in Lexington where she was a Sunday School teacher and taught at Vacation Bible School every summer.
As a teenager she was active in the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and later was a homeroom mother at Lexington Grade School and helped at many functions. She was an active member of the PTA in Sherman, Texas and was a Camp Fire Girls Leader for many years as well as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Mother.
Patricia enjoyed water sports, reading, sewing and gardening. She enjoyed working at several banks throughout the state and was instrumental in her husband's business success. Pat and Bill raised their grandson, Billy Stewart of Amber, while building their business and while she attended U.S.A.0 for business classes.
She was a generous supporter of many charities. She loved animals and gave homes to many that she rescued.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill; a daughter, Carolyn Sue; parents: Mary and Maxey Wood; and a brother, Phillip Wood of Anchorage, Alaska.
She is survived by 2 children: Barbara Kennedy and David Stewart of Amber, OK; Grandchildren: Billy Stewart of Amber, OK, Janece Seay of Oklahoma City, OK, William E.R. Stewart of Oklahoma City, OK, Max I.E. Stewart of Oklahoma City, OK, and Matthew Stewart Kennedy of Chickasha, OK.
5 Great Grandchildren: Alexandra, Allison, Addilyn, Adam Stewart and Parker Ivy McGinley all of Amber, OK.
