Patricia Ann Smith

Funeral Service will be Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., at Ninnekah Church of Christ in Ninnekah, OK. The interment will be at Amber Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Patricia Ann (Johnson) Smith, 74, passed away on November 10, 2022, in Bridge Creek, OK. Patricia was born on July 26, 1948, to William H. Johnson and Waunita L. (Gitthens) Johnson in Memphis, Tennessee.

Patricia grew up in Chickasha before her family moved to Missouri for a few years, then later returned to Chickasha where she attended Chickasha public schools and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1967. She had her first son, Ronald Wade Johnson in 1964. Several years later in 1968, she met the love of her life H.B. Smith Jr. in Cement, OK. Together they had William Wade Smith in 1968 and Vicki Lynn (Smith) Funderburk in 1971. Patricia worked several jobs throughout her life including, Pet Incorporated, Mistletoe Express, and TexPack and she later worked for Chickasha Public Schools where she retired.

Patricia enjoyed going to her daughter's softball games where she would be the scorekeeper, she enjoyed going to rodeos and play days, she was very active in her children's Ag and FFA events, riding horses in her younger years, she enjoyed dancing, as well as driving around the country. She loved watching her grandchildren in their many different activities, OU Tailgating, and especially spending time with family. She was a very active member of the Ninnekah Church of Christ for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. Johnson and Waunita L. (Gitthens) Johnson, ex-husband, H.B. Smith Jr., great-grandson, Riccardo Gonzalez, daughter-in-law, Julie Johnson.

Patricia is survived by her children, Ronald Wade Johnson of Bridge Creek, OK, William Wade Smith and wife, Jennifer Koons of Bridge Creek, OK, Vicki Lynn (Smith) Funderburk and husband, Gary Funderburk of Chickasha, OK; brother, Bill and JoMarie Johnson; sister, Linda and Omega Robinson; grandchildren, Kristina Gonzalez, Megan Clark, Zachary Funderburk, Morgan Funderburk, Harrison Funderburk, Jackie Funderburk, Paloma Funderburk, Kale Smith, Jude Smith, Jase Smith, Tori Smith; great-grandchildren, Madison Flores, Noah Flores, Isabella Flores, Bradlee Ann Spoonmore, Zayden Robert Funderburk; and a great-great-grandson, Sterling Flores; nieces and nephews, Stacy Johnson, Melisa Ochoa, O'Shaka Robinson, Desiree Robinson; brother and sister-in-law, Alfred and Gertrude Smith, sister, and brother-in-law Debara and Elbert Stumpf, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
