Oral Lavaughn "Fitz" Fitzpatrick

Oral Lavaughn "Fitz" Fitzpatrick, 92, of Rockwall, Texas, passed from this life on June 18, 2022. Fitz was born to James Oral Fitzpatrick and Mildred Myrtle (Felkner) Fitzpatrick, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, on July 22, 1929.

At a young age, he enjoyed being in the FFA and showing cattle. Fitz retired in 1989 from Borg Warner Acceptance Company. As a hobby, he also restored antique tractors and drove them in the local parades.

Fitz leaves behind his daughters: Sheila Bishop and Sheryl Ofner; grandchildren: Shanna Stanbrough and husband Johnny, Jessica Hamm and husband David, Jade Hudson and husband Robert, Audra Donaldson and husband Cameron, Jourdan Miller and husband Mike; great-grandchildren: Brittany Krueger, Jake Ryan Stanbrough, Rhylan Stanbrough, Brenden Hansen, Dylan Hamm, Hailey Hamm, Justin Locke, Kade Hudson, Brayden Ofner, Brody Hudson, Alexis Norris, Emilynn Hudson, Camille Donaldson, Cooper Donaldson, Alizeah Miller, Kamden Miller; and sister: Carol Frieze and husband Ted. Oral is preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Mae Fitzpatrick; parents; Oral and Mildred Fitzpatrick; brother: Jack Fitzpatrick; and sister-in-law: Anita Fitzpatrick.

A gathering of friends and loved ones will take place at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rockwall, Texas, on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A second visitation will be held at Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha, Oklahoma, Saturday, June 25, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM. Graveside services to immediately follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
