Odessa John

A special service was held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to honor the memory of Odessa John, age 103, who passed December 19, 2023 and her late husband, Conway John, who passed on October 3, 2013, at the age of 93. They were married 72 years and they both peacefully departed this world surrounded by the love of their family, as has their late daughter, Marilue Huey.

Odessa and Conway's legacy lives on through their surviving daughter, Connie Wallace (John), son-in-law Wayne (Marilu-deceased), and their cherished grandchildren, Emily, Ryan, Eric, and Kevin, along with their spouses. They are also remembered by their 5 great-grandchildren.

Both Odessa and Conway spent their formative years in Chickasha, Oklahoma, eventually making Wichita, Kansas their lifelong home. Their love story began in their youth and flourished into a remarkable journey that spanned an incredible 72 years. Together, they weathered life's storms and celebrated its joys, leaving an indelible mark in the hearts of those who knew them. Their life was filled with enduring lessons of love and wisdom to us all, and we are grateful for the example they shared with us.
