Nicky Carter, Jr.

Nicky Carter Jr. passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 58.  He was born August 21, 1958 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Junior and Georgia (Christian) Carter.

Nicky was raised in the Ninnekah area and graduated from Ninnekah High School.  He served in the Oklahoma National Guard and then in the United States Marines for over 10 years, serving in Desert Storm.  He had driven a truck for a number of years and had later worked in the oilfield as a welder.

He married Barbara (Hornbake) Tate on August 21, 2004 in Chickasha and made their home in Ninnekah.

Nicky was a member of the Eagles Lodge and served as treasurer and was President of the Eagle Riders.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Georgia Carter and a sister, Donna Mitchell.

Nicky is survived by his wife, Barbara Carter of Ninnekah, OK;

2 daughters:
Krystal Carter and her fiance', Brock Eaton, of Yukon, OK;
Crystal Toner and her husband, Chris, of Union City, OK;

Brother, Gary Carter of Lake Texhoma, OK;

Sister, Linda Logan of Harrah, OK;

Nieces:  Jessica Layman and her husband, Derek, of Blanchard, OK;
Sherrie Stubblefield and her husband, JR, of Shawnee, OK;
Tabitha Mitchell of Shawnee, OK;

Nephew, Cody Carter and his wife, Rachel, of Tuttle, OK.
