Nannie Jo "Nan" Kilby was born on August 9, 1944 in Oklahoma City, OK to Leonard and Jennie Belle (Streber) Novak. Nan passed away on May 23, 2024 in Tuttle, OK at the age of 79.
Nan grew up in Oklahoma City, OK and graduated from Capitol Hill High School. She worked as a secretary for several years but found her career working at Cedar Springs Pharmacy where she worked for 35 years as a clerk with Kent Hinds, who was more like a son to her than a boss. Nan loved her job at the Pharmacy and, through the years, made many friends who she cared for deeply. Nan married Harold Kilby, Jr. in 1963. Together they had two boys, Paul Kilby and Justin Kilby. She moved to Tuttle, OK with her family in 1973 and lived there for the rest of her life. Nan and Harold were married for 37 years until Harold passed away in 2000. Several years later, she met James Andrews and they married in 2009. They were married until James' passing in 2013. She loved traveling to Alaska with James and taking trips with their friends. Her family was more important than anything to Nan. She loved spending time with them, and they loved spending time with her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Jennie Belle (Streber) Novak; her husband, Harold Kilby, Jr.; her in-laws, Alfred and Lois Kilby; her second husband, James Andrews; and her sister, Jan Nelson.
