Nancy Bennett Johnson

Nancy Bennett Johnson was born May 26, 1930 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma to Benjamin Franklin and Mary Leona (Cambron) Bennett. She passed away on Tuesday, July 14 2015 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 85. Mrs. Johnson was born and raised in Ninnekah, one of eleven children. She married Lucian M. Johnson, Sr., who was an employee of Texaco Seismograph, on December 23, 1946 in Chickasha. Nancy was the mother of five children and she loved the duties of homemaking, which included baking, sewing, quilting and cooking. She also loved the outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed camping and fishing. Above all Nancy enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Mrs. Johnson was a 30 year member of the Extension Homemakers of Grady County and she belonged to the Churndashers Quilt Club of Grady County. She enjoyed providing food for and eating with the luncheon group at the Ninnekah Community Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucian M. Johnson, Sr; a daughter, Linda Gail Morris; her parents; her siblings: Lucille Bennett Johnson, Victor Bennett, Herbert Bennett, Bennie Bennett, Ruth Bennett Haggard, Marvin Bennett, David Bennett and Billy Joe Bennett. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children: Daughter, Carolyn Johnson Tedder of Chickasha, OK Daughter, Lucinda Johnson Cowan of Longview, TX Son, Lucian M. Johnson, Jr. of Blanchard, OK Son, Craig Neil Johnson of Ninnekah, OK 4 Granddaughters, 7 Grandsons and numerous Great Grandchildren Brothers: Roy Bennett and his wife, Joy, of Chickasha, OK Bobbie Bennett and his wife, Kitty, of Mustang, OK Sister-in-law, Jessie Bennett of Ninnekah, OK Brothers-in-law and wives: Weldon Johnson and Mary of Chickasha, OK Charles M. Johnson and Wanda of Rush Springs, OK Harvey Johnson and Karen of Chickasha, OK Pallbearers for Mrs. Johnson will be Shawn Morris, Joseph Morris, Clay Cowan, Lee Cowan, Lucian Johnson III and David McCarty.
