Mildred Thompson

A private service will be held under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Mildred Thompson was born on February 15, 1927, in Chickasha OK to John and Beulah Thompson. She passed away peacefully from this earthly life on September 20, 2022, in Chickasha OK.

Mildred lived her entire life in Chickasha. She attended Lincoln schools and soon after married Raymond Shells Sr. and to this union they were blessed with five beautiful children. Mildred will always be remembered for her hard work and loving heart. She had a soft spot for helping those in need, this led her to working at multiple nursing homes in the Chickasha area including Shanoan Springs, Glenhaven as well as Chickasha Nursing Center. She also was a home health care taker and had clients all over the city that she cared for deeply. She loved spending time with her family. Family always came first for Mildred. She was an  avid quilter and enjoyed sewing. She loved spending time outside in her garden and collecting her trinkets.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Beulah (Spencer) Thompson; her brothers Johnell Thompson and Leroy Thompson; her sons Raymond Shells Jr, Ace Shells and Keith Shells.

She is survived by her son Leroy Shells; her daughter Armetha Shells; her special niece Linda Decker; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
