Michael Bill James

Funeral Service for Michael Bill James will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Sevier Funeral Home Chapel in Chickasha. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Michael James was born on July 22, 1948 to parents, Billy Waldon James and Alma Virginia Brown, in San Mateo, CA and passed from this life on Thursday, February 6, 2025 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 76.

Michael grew up in the Van Buren and rural Crawford county Arkansas areas. Michael graduated high school and served in the United States Army. He served in Okinawa from 1968 to 1970. He attended automotive school. After graduating, he worked for Melton Ford Motors for many years. Michael enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on all kinds of vehicles.

He is preceded in death by his father and his mother, Alma Virginia (Brown) Whaley; his sister, Belle Ann Parker; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Those left to remember him include his sisters, Iris Graff, Judy Kuhn and Sandy Robbins, and Marita Whaley; his brothers, Patrick James and Clay Whaley; and several nieces and nephews.
