Merry Douglas

Merry Joy Douglas, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at her home near Chickasha, OK at the age of 73.  She was born December 15, 1945 in Dearborn, Michigan and was adopted by Donald and Mary (Pokorny) Gorham.

Merry moved to Chickasha from Michigan in early 1960's.  She worked at Maramont (Gabriel) and Traders Packaging for many years.  She had also been employed with Chickasha Chamber of Commerce and Livingston L & C (Livestock) before retiring.

She had married Ronald Dean Douglas on September 11, 1992.  In their retirement years, she and Ron enjoyed traveling.  She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ron; son, Roger "Jake" Reed, Jr; and son, Scott Douglas.

Merry is survived by children, Larry Reed and his wife, Sarah, of Lewisville, TX; Tammy Monroe, Jeff Douglas and Linda Long and her husband, Bruce;

Grandchildren: Shembra Reed, Ruthie Reed, Emily Reed, Luke Reed, Grace Reed, Jennifer Douglas, Cody Reed, Zack Reed, Jessica Monroe, Lindsey Riddle, Lesley Rainey, Heath Long, Ashley Long, Derrick Long, Taylor Warren, Miranda Green and Jakob Reed;

Great Grandchildren: Presley and Payton Riddle; Kallan and Kennedy Long; and Axel and Aizlynne Moore.

She was eternally grateful to get acquainted with her eight biological Bazzy Family: Cal, Demaris, Charles, Ronald, Robert, Marlene, Carol and Sharon.
