Melvin "Sonny Jim" Wade Richardson

Melvin Wade Richardson was born August 23, 1939 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Bennie Eli and Opal Lois (Sammons) Richardson.  He passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 77.

Sonny Jim married Patricia "Pat" Sue Richardson on January 16, 1960.  He worked for Elliott Wholesale, Navajo Trailers in New Mexico, Imperial Trailers in Lindsay, Phillips' Trailers in Chickasha and worked for Jackson Trailers for over 20 years.

Pat preceded him in death on May 11, 1995.  He married Fleeta Ewy on July 24, 2004.

Sonny Jim's greatest joys were spending time with his family, fishing and music. He exhibited his abilities by playing the good old country songs, swooning Fleeta on the dance floor and his many fishing tournaments.

Sonny always had a smile and a story for everyone he met.  He always made everyone feel "so special".

He is also preceded in death by his parents.

Sonny Jim is survived by his wife, Fleeta Richardson;

Son, Gregory Richardson and his wife, Tina;

Daughter, LaDonna Haycraft;

Grandchildren: McKinzie Dobey, Beth Turpin, Trey Haycraft and Koleton Richardson

Great grandchildren: Elaina Dobey, Oynx Dobey, Bo Turpin, Landin Turpin, Lukus Turpin;

Stepsons:  Kenzel Ewy-Tate, Ryan Tate-Ewy and Brandon Ewy and Kaciee Hobbs;

Stepgrandchildren:  Berlynn Ewy, Kenzlie Ewy, Keiser Ewy, Chevy Ewy and Kaicyk Ewy;

Sister, Melba Pettijohn.
