May Pauline Smith

Funeral will be Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Laverty Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

May Pauline (Goodson) Smith, 85, passed away on November 4, 2022.  Pauline was born on June 8, 1937 to Edith M. (Bare) Goodson and Chester N. Goodson in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  Pauline was third child born of six children; two sisters and three brothers.  Pauline grew up in the Cement area and graduated from Cement High School.  Pauline married Bobby G. Smith on August 10, 1956.  Pauline was a loving and devoted mother to four children.  She loved the times at the lake camping with all her family.  She enjoyed times with friends and family.  She was very caring and always there to lend a hand or help out in any way.

Pauline is survived by her four children; Regina and Ronnie Childers of Bridgecreek, Oklahoma, Deborah and Mike Gibson of Nash, Oklahoma, Benita and Ray Orum of Chickasha, Oklahoma and  Bobby and Laurie Smith of Cement, Oklahoma.  Grandchildren; Shane Childers, Jennifer Hull, Melissa Wiederkehr, Amanda Mowels, Scott Gibson, Dusty Gibson, Kay Gibson, Jessica Orum, Kristy Massey, Tanner Orum, Brandon Smith, Steven Smith and April Smith.  Loving memory of grandson Jon Smith.  Twenty-one great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Earlene Manning and many nieces and nephews who were all dear to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby G. Smith, her parents, her sister Madeline A. Smith, brother Chester E. Goodson, brother Joe D. Goodson, and brother Michael A. Goodson.  Grandson Jon Smith.

Mom had many wonderful friends in the area and loved to play cards and visit and take trips.  She cared for all our friends and cousins like they were her own.
