Maxine Story

Maxine Story, 95, of Alex, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 in Dallas, TX.  She was born February 11, 1922 in Alex, Oklahoma to William Lorin and Alma (White) Mackey.  Maxine grew up in the Hawkins community where she attended school.  She graduated from Alex High School and went to Hills Business College in Oklahoma City after graduation.

She married Tom Story on November 23, 1940 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.  Maxine worked for Douglas Aircraft and Southwestern Bell Telephone in Oklahoma City in the 1940's during World War II.  In 1970 she started to work for Oklahoma National Bank for 17 years and then for MidFirst Bank until she retired in 1987.

Maxine was a member of First Baptist Church in Alex and belonged to some Demonstration Clubs.

She is preceded in death by her husband Tom Story, her parents, Alma and Lorin Mackey; and a son-in-law.

Maxine is survived by her daughter, and a grandson.
