Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Sevier Funeral Home Chapel, Chickasha, Oklahoma. Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
Mary Pearl (Kiser) Threadgill passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 90. On March 20, 1932, she was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma to W.T. and Janie Kiser.
Mary started school in Valley View and then attended Hawkins Country school, she graduated from Alex High School in 1949. Mary married the love of her life, Harrol Threadgill on the 5 th of April 1950. They had four children together, Scotty, Leslie, Kathy, and Cindy. She went to work for Bagwell's Lunchroom where she worked for 22 years. Afterward, she went on to work at Grady Memorial Hospital where she did the housekeeping for 33 years and retired. After retiring, Mary went to volunteer for the Pink Ladies for another 7 years until she was no longer able. There were many things in which Mary found joy in her life, such as, working, taking care of her houseplants, selling tickets for the Fraternal Order of the Eagles of which she was a member, and making her tea towels that had a hook for people to hang them. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Chickasha where she taught Sunday School for many years and taught at Bible School which she did every summer. Mary was always a hard worker especially when it came to her yard which she mowed herself. Redbirds were her favorite and you could tell that just by seeing her front garden. Mary loved going camping and being around water even if she couldn't swim, she even went on the water ski once to prove she could.
She is preceded in death by her parents, W.T. and Janie Kiser; husband, Harrol Threadgill; sister, Imogene Pearson; son, Leslie Threadgill; sister-in-law, Stella Kiser; son-in-law, Steve Mayo; grandson, Dylan Mayo; and daughter, Cindy Allen.
Mary is survived by her children, Scotty and wife Delma (D) Threadgill, and Kathy Mayo; brother, Wayne Kiser; grandchildren, Larry Threadgill, Jamey Threadgill, Dallas Mayo, Lesa Farley, Melissa Adams, and Willie Allen; 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren with another on the way, as well as numerous other family members and friends.
