Mary Lou was born at home to Jess and Elsie Fern Plumlee on September 7, 1944 in Tuttle, OK. She was the baby to two other sisters, Alta Jean (Jeanie) Bledsoe and Patsy Paxton. She passed away at her home in Tuttle on Monday, October 5, 2020 at the age of 76.
Mary Lou attended Tuttle schools and graduated in 1962.
She married Wayne Bergin shortly after graduation and they had four daughters. She was an amazing mom who was active in PTA and Brownies. She was a terrific seamstress that sewed most of her kids' clothes when they were young.
On June 22, 1979 she married Stacy Fry and the family grew to a blended family of 6 kids. She was a talented artist that created canvas paintings and each year at Christmas she painted the windows on Tuttle City Hall. She LOVED Christmas and decorating including decorating the inside of the refrigerator and Stacy's deer-head mount.
She also enjoyed boating, camping, fishing and golf. She claimed that Stacy quit taking her golfing after she got better than him. She was an amazing cook especially her green bean casserole, cheese balls and Molly dip (salsa).
She worked at Tuttle City Hall from 1977 to 2017. She was beloved by all whom she interacted with at City Hall. But actually, she was loved by all that knew her.
She will greatly be missed by all her family and friends!
