Mary Lou Cox

Mary Lou Cox of Chickasha passed away peacefully at home on November 17 ^th at the age of 80. She was born on October 7, 1942 in Chickasha to Floyd McCoy Bunch and Julia Lavern (Southern) Bunch.

Mary and Elbert Templeton Cox, Jr. were married in Anadarko, OK on June 16, 1970 until his death in 1977. From this union, one daughter, Cindy Sue, was born in 1972. Mary lived in and around Chickasha, often residing with Cindy to help care for her grandchildren. In 2006, a tragic house fire claimed the lives of her family, with the exception of her 4 year old grandson. Mary devoted herself to raising him.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bert Cox; brothers, Jimmy Bunch and John Billinglsey, sister, Neva Jo Campbell, daughter Cindy Cox and grandchildren, Ciscili, Casey Dawn, Cassandra, Chelsee, and Sidney McCurley.

She is survived by her grandson, Christopher McCurley of the home.
