Mary A. Carmon was born June 17, 1920 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Caleb Orly and Florence Gail (Gibson) Abshere. She passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 95. Mrs. Carmon married Evert Carmon on March 23, 1941. They lived in Pampa, TX for many years and owned several furniture stores in the Pampa area. She later was a furniture factory sales executive for several companies. When she retired she returned to Oklahoma. She was happiest at the ocean or surrounded by family. She was known as GrandMary to family and friends. She is preceded in death her husband, Evert on May 19, 1973; a son, Randy Carmon; and 1 sister, Betty Biggerstaff and 1 brother, Carroll Abshere. Mrs. Carmon is survived by 2 daughters: Sharon McClanahan of Chickasha, OK Sandy Denny and her husband, David, of Keller, TX 5 grandchildren: Shawn McClanahan and wife, Sherri; Anita Winborne and husband, J.J.; Kristen Denny, Kelly Moore, and husband, Jace; and Kimberly Denny 6 great grandchildren A brother, Bill Abshere and his wife, Alice, of Raton, NM
