Martha Ann Whatley

Martha Ann Whatley was born August 24, 1936 in Willis, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Homer and Bennie Jessie Hayes Whatley. She died Saturday May 23, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 78, after a short illness, with her family by her side. She married Virgil Parks, Jr. on April 23, 1955 and resided in Moore, Oklahoma. During this time she worked at The Federal Aviation Agency in Oklahoma City until they moved to Lawton, Oklahoma. Mrs. Whatley worked for the Department of the Army-Civil Service for 23 years until she retired in 1988. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and granddaughter, Jessica Leigh Parks. Survivors include: a son, William Joseph Parks and his wife, Cathy, of Duncan, Oklahoma a daughter, Susan Lynne Reed and her, husband Kent, of Chickasha, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Tori Whitehead of Edmond, Oklahoma Stephanie Davis of Chickasha, Oklahoma Adam Reed of Chickasha, Oklahoma Joshua Reed of Norman, Oklahoma Scott Parks of Stockton, California and Stephen Parks, of Omaha, Nebraska. 13 great grandchildren a brother, Owen Whatley of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma a sister, Sarah Pool of Moore, Oklahoma. And numerous nieces and nephews.
