Marlin Dale Charlson

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Sevier Funeral Home Chapel, Chickasha, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Marlin Dale Charlson, of Ninnekah, OK, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in Ninnekah, OK at the age of 74. He was born August 13, 1947, in Chickasha, OK, to Martin and Martha (Threadgill) Charlson.

Marlin grew up in Ninnekah, OK and started school at Kechi Schools he later transferred to Ninnekah Public School where he graduated from the High School in 1965. He was the youngest of four siblings. Marlin married Sue Davis on July 22, 1967, and from their 24-year union together they had two children, Jackie, and Kevin Charlson. Marlin worked as a machinist for Badgett Corp for 30 years and Delta Faucet in Chickasha, for 13 years. When Marlin retired from Badgett Corp in 2009, he had been a machinist for 43 years. Marlin enjoyed watching OU sports and loved listening to country music, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin, and Martha Charlson; brother-in-law Bill Planz; and niece Jackie Planz.

Marlin is survived by his sons, Jackie and wife Donya Charlson of Verden, OK, and Kevin and wife, Terry Charlson of Ninnekah, OK; siblings, Patsy Planz of Illinois, Delores Davidson and husband, George of Cement, OK, Bud Charlson and wife Lynn of Cement, OK; grandchildren, Courtney Charlson, Kayla, and Bennett Irick, Kristen and Baylee Meeks, Laysee Taylor, and Heston Shaffer; great-grandchildren, Stephanie Steele, Brinley and Braxton Irick, Gracie Meeks, and Brooks Irick coming in July; as well as many other nieces and nephews.
