Marilyn Kay Herndon

Marilyn Kay (Wright) Herndon, of Minco, OK, passed away on Monday August 9, 2021 in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 77. She was born August 24, 1943 to Curtis and Evelyn (Dickerson) Wright.

Marilyn spent the last 45 years of her life in Grady County. Married Gene Herndon on June 1, 1963. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She also worked for the Grady county clerk and later was the office manager for the Grady County Commissioners for over 20 years.

She is preceded in death in death by her father; Curtis Carl Wright and mother; Mary Evelyn (Dickerson) Wright.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Gene Herndon; daughter, Gena Herndon and husband Kevin Gildea; and son, Corey Herndon and wife Sherilyn Herndon;

5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson;

Brother, Curtis Wright Jr.; Sisters: Diana Dewart and Carlene Monroe.
