Marie Bento

Alcie Marie Bento was born April 12, 1934 in Tabler, Oklahoma to James Harlan and Bertie (Prentiss) Newton. She passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at her home in Alex at the age of 81. Marie grew up in the Tabler area. She married Alfred Richard Bento on July 6, 1954 in Amarillo, Texas and they moved to California. She and her husband moved to Alex in 1989. She had worked in the restaurant industry as a waitress for many years. She was a member of the OHCE since 1989 when she joined. Marie loved her cats, sewing and crafts, shopping and spending time at casinos. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Richard Bento on April 6, 2014; her parents; a sister, Katherine Feroli; 3 brothers-in-law: Hurshel Taylor, Jimbo Bonds and Al Feroli; a sister-in-law, Lois Newton. Marie is survived by her son, Greg Bento of San Francisco, CA A daughter, Veronica Emerson and her husband, John, of Alex, OK Grandchildren: Tommy Richards of Edmond, OK; Rachelle and Ryan Dorman of Blanchard, OK; Kelly and James Coveney of Plymouth, MA; and Eric Emerson of Plymouth, MA; Great Grandchildren: Mariah Page and Maddy Dorman, Madison, Travis and Molly Coveney Godchild: Cindy Brand 3 sisters, Jean Taylor of Chickasha, OK; Margie Howe and her husband, Art, of Chickasha, OK Lula Belle Bonds of Chickasha, OK A brother, James Newton of Paoli, OK
