Funeral Service for Maria Elaine Lasseter will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Chapel at Sevier Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Maria Elaine Lasseter was born on October 28, 1946, to Elbert and Loretta in Verden, OK. She grew up in Chickasha, OK, and married Steve Lasseter on August 26, 1981. She passed peacefully on March 13, 2024, surrounded by family.

Maria was very creative and loved working with the public. She owned Mert's Bridal for over twenty years. Maria was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her grandchildren and spent her time making family memories. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elbert Vidana; her mother, Loretta June Stephens; her step father, James "Peg" Stephens; her brother, James Leon Stephens.

Maria is survived by her husband, Steve Lasseter of Chickasha; her daughters Stacy Vann and spouse Richard, of Chickasha, Peggy Alderman and spouse Calvin of Chickasha; her stepdaughters, Crystal Lasseter of Chickasha,  and Mindy Lasseter of Lawton, OK; her sister, Arlita Prentiss of Bethany, OK; her brother, Terry Stephens of Chickasha; grand kids, Tiffany, Kassi, Kyle, Sadie, Cali, Justice, Van, Jaden, Codie, Dyllan; and 12 great grand babies as well as numerous other family members.
