Margie Nell Henson Bird

Margie went to be with her Lord on May 27, 2020. She was born to her parents Attis Lingle and Pearl McKinney Lingle on October 14. 1933 near Blanchard, Oklahoma.  She attended school in Bridge Creek and later in Tuttle, Oklahoma.  She married Billy Joe Henson on September 12, 1950. To this union four children were born Ricky Gene, Michael Dean, Donita Cheryl and Rita Dewynne Henson.

Margie worked on the farm helping with weighing the cotton sacks that the workers gathered and oversaw their work.  She worked at various restaurants before owning her own known as Margie's Place; later had her own Candy shop on Main Street in Tuttle as well as working at Specialty Candy Company in OKC.

Margie had fond memories of the years she spent teaching Children's Church at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church where she also served as Sunday School Secretary.

Bill Henson passed away in 1990. In 2000 she married Myrl Eugene Bird. Myrl was by her side until her passing.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents Attis and Pearl Lingle of Tuttle, Husband Billy Joe Henson of Tuttle, one brother Vearl Lingle of Tuttle, one son Michael Dean Henson of Tulsa.

She is survived by husband Myrl Bird of Oklahoma City, son Rick Henson and wife Mary of Tuttle, children Josh Henson and wife Shauna (ch. William and Kate) from College Station, Texas; Matthew Henson and wife Erin (ch. Abraham, Helena, Leo) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Abigail Henson Morel (ch. Sam Hamilton) of Mustang, Oklahoma; Jonathan Henson and wife Cara (ch. Annabelle, Rosie) of Bozeman, Montana; Donita Henson and husband Jim Carter, children Bethany Carter and husband Lloyd Wells (ch. Ross, Catarina, Owen) of Houston, Missouri, Bradley Carter of Bucyrus, Missouri;  Rita Henson and husband Ron Jones ,children Kimberly Jones and husband Jimmy Wolfe (ch. Hannah, MacKenzie, Reagan) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nathan Jones and wife Annie (ch. David) of Louisville, Kentucky, Clayton Jones and wife Kirbe (ch. Jantzen, Elliott) of Derby, Kansas.  Also survived by brother Billy Joe Lingle and wife Timmie of Tuttle, Oklahoma; brother Dearl Lingle and wife Isabel of Cyril, Oklahoma; brother Orb Lingle and wife Judy of Criner, Oklahoma; sister Armetta Jackson and husband Gerald of Tuttle, Oklahoma and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Myrl and Margie attended Tuttle First Assembly of God Church until they moved into Legends Assisted Living Center in Oklahoma City.

Margie's funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the Tuttle First Assembly of God Church.  Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Tuttle.
