M.A. "Pete" Mccoy

M.A. "Pete" McCoy was born December 30, 1929 in Merkel, Texas to J.M. and Lutenia (Bass) McCoy. He passed away at his home near Tuttle, OK on Monday, February 22, 2016 at the age of 86.
Pete was raised at Merkel, Texas and graduated from Merkel High School. After graduating he went to work in the oilfield with Conoco. He worked in the oilfield for 40 years when he retired as an electrician.
He married Joyce Tarkington on November 22, 1991 in Oklahoma City, OK at the 58th St. Primitive Baptist Church and they made their home in Tuttle. Pete spent his days after retiring playing golf.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Debra Hess; 3 brothers: Medford, Melvin and Merkel Jimmy; and a sister, Mary Viola.
Pete is survived by his wife, Joyce McCoy;
2 sons: Dana McCoy and his wife, Debbie; and Michael Schrader and his wife Rene';
6 grandchildren;
1 sister, Morelle Miller.
