Lloyd A. Rich

A celebration of life service for Lloyd A. Rich, 90, of Fletcher, OK, will be Friday, July 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Fletcher, OK. Lloyd A. Rich was born November 7, 1922 at Rocky Ford, southwest of Chickasha, OK, to Charley Edwards "Boss" and Eliza Virginia (Carter) Rich. He passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013 in Chickasha, OK. Lloyd grew up in the Rocky Ford area and went to schools at Rocky Ford Cement and Fletcher, He married Juanita Gilliland on August 1, 1942 in Elgin, OK and they would have celebrated their 71 anniversary this year. Lloyd Worked for Ft. Sill civil service as a communications technician until retiring. He later went to work for Comanche County Barn out of Elgin until retiring from there. Lloyd is a member of the First Baptist Church in Fletcher, OK. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Irbalee and Jim Reeves and Juanita and Tommy Hartline and his only granddaughter, Heather Rich. Lloyd is survived by Juanita, of the home His daughter, Rosalind Schlegel and husband, Larry, of Chickasha, OK His son, Duane and wife, Connie, of Kechi area 5 Grandsons: David and Stacy Rich, of Chickasha, OK Mark and Meredith Schlegel, of Oklahoma City, OK Kevin and Jennifer Schlegel, of Oklahoma City, OK Stephen and Brooke Rich, of Bridge Creek, OK Adam and Rhyann Rich, of Blanchard, OK 12 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donations be given to the First Baptist Church of Fletcher, OK. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha,OK.
