She is survived by: 2 children: Brock Steelman and wife Linda of Amber, OK; and Diane Abernathy and husband Bob of Norman, OK; 2 grandchildren: Tod Stephens and wife Mina of Abu Dhabi, UAE and Jana Steelman and husband Steve Thompson of Yukon, OK; 3 step-grandchildren: Kara Choate and husband Jeremy; Brooke Hayes and husband Jamie; and Megan Belford, all of Edmond, OK; 3 great-grandchildren: Summer Stephens, and Leena and Dezi Stephens; 13 step great-grandchildren: Hayden, Harper, and Harrison Choate; James, Presley, Georgia, and Lila Hayes; Christian, Brayden, and Stella Belford; Zachary and Samuel Krablin; and Will Thompson; 6 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Lavon's family wants to thank the many angels who loved and cared for Lavon, allowing her to spend her last months in her home: Desma Givens, Andria Harris, Stormy Smith, Brother Johnny, and the other precious Lifeline staff; and Lavon's team of devoted caregivers, Debbie Cochran, Carolyn Tedder, Rhonda Price, Shana Farley, Christina Landrum, Haley Savage, and Diana Marzano. And lastly, "Thank You" does not begin to express our gratitude to Shila Love. Lavon and her family were so blessed by your gentleness, patience, and sense of humor. We know you genuinely loved Lavon (you are aptly named!) and we will always consider your family a part of our family.
