Lavon Hatchett

Cecil Lavon Hatchett was born March 21, 1941 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma to Luther and Lahoma (Coffey) Hatchett.  He passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 75.

Lavon had lived in Grady County his entire life.  He served in the U.S. Army in 1961.  He worked as a welder for over 30 years then as a painter with Blackburn Painting.

He married Erlene Blackburn on July 27, 1963 in Chickasha.  He was a member of Grand Assembly of God Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Lewis and Jesse Hatchett.

Lavon is survived by his wife, Erlene Hatchett;

2 children:  Sherrie Hatchett and Jason Hatchett and his wife, Shawna;

2 grandchildren: Aubyn and Ian Hatchett;

2 sisters:  Shirley Ibsen and Joan Hightower.
